Nuance Medical, the parent company of BIOCORNEUM® and Biodermis®, is proud to partner with the American Breast Cancer Foundation (ABCF) as part of our commitment to supporting patients throughout their healthcare and recovery journey.

Breast cancer care doesn’t begin or end with a single appointment. Early detection, timely diagnosis, treatment, and recovery all play an important role in helping patients achieve the best possible outcomes. Through this partnership, Nuance Medical and ABCF aim to connect individuals with both preventive care resources and recovery support.

Supporting Early Detection and Access to Screening

The American Breast Cancer Foundation is a national nonprofit dedicated to making breast cancer screening and diagnostics accessible to everyone. By helping remove financial and systemic barriers to care, ABCF provides direct assistance, bilingual patient navigation, and educational resources that help individuals access critical services when they need them most.

Through the organization’s Breast Cancer Assistance Program (BCAP), eligible applicants can receive financial assistance for essential screening and diagnostic services, including:

• Up to $200 for screening mammograms
• Up to $250 for diagnostic mammograms
• Up to $250 for breast ultrasounds

The program supports individuals of any age or background and is available to people with or without insurance. Applications are typically reviewed within three to four business days, helping patients move quickly toward the care they need.

Connecting Patients to Resources Throughout Their Journey

In addition to screening support, ABCF’s Educational Patient Advocacy Program (EPAP) helps connect individuals at every stage of the breast cancer journey with trusted resources and organizations that support treatment, recovery, and long-term care.

Through this partnership, Nuance Medical may be listed as a trusted resource for individuals seeking education and guidance related to post-procedure recovery and scar management.

Supporting Recovery and Scar Care After Breast Cancer Procedures

For many individuals undergoing breast cancer treatment, procedures such as lumpectomy, mastectomy, breast reconstruction, and port placement can result in visible scarring that continues to evolve throughout the healing process.

Nuance Medical’s scar care portfolio, including BIOCORNEUM silicone scar gel and Epi-Derm® silicone sheeting, is designed to support healthy collagen remodeling and help improve the appearance of scars as the skin heals.

As part of our ESG commitment, Nuance Medical will support ABCF by providing educational resources on scar recovery, guidance on post-procedure scar care options, and in-kind product support for individuals navigating recovery. This support will include complimentary scar care products from our portfolio, with an estimated annual retail value of up to $2,000. We will continue to evaluate additional opportunities to support ABCF and the patients they serve as needs arise.
